Our Cup Overflows!

Really, I mean that in every way! Words cannot express the emotions that Cathy and I have as we serve in Jamaica. God has blessed us beyond what we could ever imagine. To have the opportunities that we have been able to experience thus far has been incredible.

Cathy and I have only been with Praying Pelican Missions for a year and a half and yet we have been able to serve in so many locations and communities and be involved in changing so many lives for Jesus Christ! We have great opportunities to pray over the sick, the hurting and the lost. We get to speak to those who do not know Jesus as their Lord and lead them to salvation! We get to minister to the sick, afflicted and dying. We love the time we get to spend in Children's homes and love on children who have been abused and abandoned by their families. We cherish the opportunties each trip to sit and pray, read scripture and sing songs of praise with the senior citizens who have been forgotten and are dying a lonely death in insititutions.

God is so good! We are allowed in the public school system to share Christ, lead devotions, do VBS programs, pass out Bibles and simply love on the students. We are encouraged as we listen to school Principles pray over their students and share their faith.

Our cup runs over!! God has provided us a field ready for harvest! Lives are changed, the Kingdom of God grows and he allows us, uses us, to help grow His Kingdom!! Cathy and I are blessed to be involved in changing lives in so many ways. Not only in Children's homes, schools and Infirmaries, but in communities.

Just this spring alone, we have been involved in building new homes for aging men and single grandmothers who were homeless due to fires and dire circumstances. To see their faces when their homes were completed along with new stoves, kitchen tables, new beds and running water was priceless! God moved in awesome ways!

Lives were changed through an awesome medical team that shared with us in Feb. in Kingston! Men, women, and children came to see the doctors and nurses that would help them with minor and major health issues. Tumors were removed from a dozen people changing their lives in ways we cannot even imagine. Medication were given freely to hundreds for high blood pressure, sugar issues, worms, STD's, infections and so much more. Eye glasses were given to those who have not been able to read for years, sight restored in many ways! Our cup overflows!!

Thank you Jesus for allowing us to serve in this way! I cannot imagine doing anything else in life. Surely nothing can bring as much joy to our hearts as this. To see lives changed in so many ways, to be able to be part of that change, to laugh and to cry with those God would put in our path, our cup overflows!

Cathy and I want to say THANK YOU to those who pray for us and financially support us so that we can continue to do what God has called us to do! Without your help, without God calling you to help and your faithfullness to answer His call we could not do this fulltime. So, thank you!

Our prayer is that your cup overflows as well with these words, these stories, the changed lives. These are your stories as much as ours! You are part of the blessing, part of the story, part of reaching others for Christ!
