Serving a Faithful God!

What a blessing it is to be able to serve such a faithful and loving God! Words cannot express the joy that comes with serving in Jamaica and being a part of so many lives being touched. Our days are filled with tears, smiles, warm hugs, laughter, heartaches, joy and so many other emotions. Yes, the days are very long, the work physically and emotionally draining at times but I would not change one thing about what God has called Cathy and I to do.

As we visit Children's homes, where our heart breaks, yet is full of joy as we "get' to love on these children, push them around in their wheelchairs, hold them, play with them and even feed them meals, words nor pictures could do it justice! These children have been "tossed away" by their families to be left alone in these facilities. Rarely do they get outside visitors; only mission teams that come to visit most often. What a blessing they are to Cathy and I. They are in fact one of our favorite places to visit and minister.

We are blessed with opportunities to visit and love on the senior citizens in the Infirmaries who have also been abandoned by families simply because of the costs and care needed to take care of them. What a joy to sit beside them and hear their life stories, talk about their families and what they did before they came to the home. What blessings come as one gentleman, who goes by "The Professor" shares God's Word by memory and will sit for hours reciting scripture and teaches as though he is a Bible professor! He is blind but memorized mist of the Bible before losing his sight. What a gem!

I could go on and on with story after story. But, as we serve here in Jamaica, Cathy and I witness God touch so many lives, move in miraculous ways, see us through very difficult times, take our stresses away as they are many at times, protect us daily and in so many more ways! We serve a very faithful and loving God!!

Thus far, Cathy and I have served with about 50 teams and have loved every minute of it. As we continue to serve and start to come to a close for the 2016 season here in Jamaica, please remember us in your prayers! We have several weeks left here on the island before heading home after a very long and busy spring and summer. We have actually been in Jamaica most of the year so far with the exception of just several weeks. We love it here but are ready to come home to see family and friends for a bit before heading back down at Christmas.

Thank you to those who continue to pray for us and financially support us so we can do this full time! Our blessing is your blessing!! May God continue to bless each of you as you serve our faithful God in the way He has called you also!

In Christ

Brent
